President | Jul 2026 - Present
Hello everyone! I'm Joe, and I'll be your president for the 2026-27 academic year! I'm excited to get everyone involved with events, and overall help CSS offer something for everyone who gets involved with the society! Outside of the society, I'm a second year Ph.D. student in the Theory group of CS, and my many hobbies include dance, birds, and insects! Feel free to reach out to me if you have anything about the society you want answered!

Hello all! I'm Idris and I'm your new Treasurer for this year. I'm excited to be a part of this society and help to work with the finances. Hiya! My name is Anna, and I am a second year Computer Science student and the new Sports sec for CSS. In my free time I enjoy spending time at the Soak and eating butter chicken.
Industrial Liaison | Jul 2026 - Present
Hello! I'm Harry, a second-year Computer Science student, and I'm delighted to be your Industrial Liaison. My main focus is to secure sponsorships for the society, so we can fund lots of great events this year. I'll also be organising a range of events in collaboration with industry, so you can discover interesting opportunities, build connections and hone your skills. Outside of CS I enjoy debating, running and bell ringing. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all this year!
Post-Graduate (Research) Rep | Jul 2026 - Present
Hey all! I'm Jacob, a first year PhD student in the security and privacy group, and I'm your PGR Rep for this coming year! My main responsibilities are to represent the interests of the PGR community here in computer science, work to make socials that suit PGRs, encourage attendance to events, and represent CSS at the SRSCC. Outside of work, I enjoy gaming (mainly Overwatch), ethical hacking, football, and music. Whether you're a PGR or not, feel free to drop me a message on Discord or catch me around the CS building :)
Post-Graduate (Taught) Rep | Jul 2026 - Present
Hi! I'm Maddy, a PGT student studying AI and Machine Learning, and I'm excited to be your new PGT Rep this year. As someone new to UOB, I've jumped straight into getting involved and connecting with our community. Outside of studying, I'm a massive gamer and a pretty terrible netball player. My goal is to represent and support all PGT students, making sure everyone feels welcome, included, and heard. If you ever need anything or just fancy a chat, feel free to reach out but be warned I can talk for ages :)
Hackathons Officer | Jul 2026 - Present
Good Tidings everyone, I'm Day a third year M.Sci Mathematics and Computer Science student, and will be the Hackathons Officer for this academic year. I will be mainly focused on making sure BirmingHack 3.0 is planned and executed well, but we might also have time in the schedule to run a few smaller hackathons in the runup to BirmingHack. My main pastimes are: reading, video/board games, ethical hacking, music, and maintaining my homelab and other projects at drjoness.uk. If you have any queries about BirmingHack or suggestions to be made, drop me a message on Discord or feel free to say hello in person.
